In Chinese culture, goldfish represent good fortune. I've always found gold fishes very calm and soothing, as well as very beautiful. These three illustrations I drew of goldfishes each have a little of my history in them. In Maple, a maple leaf is from the time I spent growing up in Canada. Peony features a peony, which is one of the many famous flowers of China. Finally, in Pisces, the lillypads and lotus mirror the Pisces constellation, as well as the two fish.
